The struggles woman experience on a day to day around us. For woman the questions can be should I take contraception? Who am I off contraception? How do I avoid pregnancy but not the side effects?
Not only exploring contraception but the battles woman go through with their menstrual cycles. Majority of woman struggle with something yet it seems the options are slim on how to stop these struggles especially, when it comes to your period. A lot of the answers we get from doctors is the pill or a form of contraception. But if you can’t take that or struggle with that how long can you just live with it? Many woman struggle but this can still be a lonely journey for most.
I want to show woman and myself that we aren’t alone and I believe there should me more and safer options than the pill and other forms of contraception. And more should be done to help woman with their menstrual cycles.
No one tells you what you to expect when coming off the contraception pill,
Not everyone suffers but I am currently on my journey up the fertility hill.
The doctor recommended it when I was 14,but never once explained the trouble I could be in,
Every month you go back and they ask “hey how have you been?”
“Good” I reply, but the last time it really sunk in
Now I am 28 and have met my soulmate, in the back of my mind I’m wondering what is my fate,
I came off the pill nearly 3 years ago now, but my regular cycles never came back and I started feeling down. I went to the doctor had tests and scans, “you have polysistic ovaries” they said but “please remain calm”
The questions are starting to come “you’re engaged, when are are you having a baby” “you’re getting on abit now when are you having a baby” “you have a house and a puppy when are we expecting the baby” that’s the word I’m starting to dread …. Baby
What will happen will happen, I just wish I knew more, the words fertility clinic seems to scare me more and more
I hope one day I get to have the family life I want, but for now I’m content with my partner and dog,
The only bit of advice I could give, is to research about different types of contraception more than I did
